This Saturday the Verboten party series brings together the biggest names in underground techno to Sullivan room for what promises to be a crazy party. Flying Circus’ own AUDIOFLY are joined by Detroit legend CARL CRAIG, MATHEW DEAR, and RADIO SLAVE, along with Fixed residents JDH & DAVE P and Sullivan Room brain SR SERGE (aka Grass Is Greener). All this amazing talent will be playing on 2 sound systems on both floors of Sullivan Room NYC.

Who is Verboten?

“The Verboten brand began in reaction to the conservative, bottle service focused climate that had turned Manhattan nightlife into a shadow of its former self. The ongoing party series was dedicated to bringing musical credibility, professionalism and excitement back to a hand-picked selection of venues. Verboten’s fictional world, as it appears in our club visuals and flyers, is a dystopian surveillance state set in a decayed urban landscape. “Verboten,” German for “forbidden,” evokes this concept and our techno programming perfectly.

Verboten is now a major force in the New York dance music scene with over 75 events and 250 top-tier DJs booked annually. It attracts a discerning crowd of music fans, Europeans, hipsters, freaks, party girls & industry types to big room clubs, intimate Sunday night “Disasters,” and special one-off events including festivals and boat parties. ”

Label head of Detroit’s own Planet E Communications, will be spinning a set of mind-blowing dance music that will make you move no matter what your into—his sets are notoriously varied, grabbing from minimalist electro to get-down funk.

The UK-based production wunderkind and owner of the label, REKIDS, will be churning out the four-to-the-floor deep house tracks that he’s made his name on.

The man of many aliases—Audion, false, Jabberjaw to name a few—spins a sleazy mix of slowed down house and disco that will heat any dance floor up. The Detroit native has been making dance floors across NYC sweat all year so, be warned.

Audiofly have put tracks out on ReKids, Get Physical and All Day I Dream. They spin deep Tech-house that will be rattling the subwoofers all night.

As always, support from residents JDH & Dave P will start off the night. At Sullivan Room, the party goes from 10pm-late… which in our experience here at UndergroundSound means sunrise. With the sound system at SR, leaving is essentially impossible. You won’t find random highlighter children here, this is a place for people who are all about the bass to come gather.
