I was introduced to W&W(Willem & Ward) a hard trance duo back in 2011 by hearing two tracks Impact (massive as Armin would say) & Beta(Synth Madhouse) both of which at that time were heavy hitters in the Trance world. These two tracks were released on the Armada label with full support by Armin van Buuren(Trance Messiah), who back in 2010 projected their upcoming success.
Out February 4th on Revealed Recordings
Revealed Recordings proudly premiers their first secret weapon of the New Year – W&W and Ummet Ozcan’s ‘The Code’. Which enters this week at #1 in the DMC buzz chart. ‘The Code’ shows the continued growth of W&W and their partnership again with Ummet Ozcan, with whom they had previously released Synergy & Velecity.
Many are calling this new sound & realm that W&W has entered into Trouse(blending of Trance & House). This mix of Progressive Trance & Big Room House has certainly been accepted by many EDM fans and is only natural as EDM grows. I personally am all for the cross pollination of genres and think that W&W “The Code” is only the tip of the iceberg for this new blend of genres.
W&W’s ‘Lift Off’ was in the Beatport Top 10 for weeks and still holding top 10 in the prog house, it’s clear they are hitting all the right notes in between multiple genres.
As premiered at ADE and featured in Hardwell’s Essential Mix, this landmark collaboration sets aside the genre boundaries with intense force, fusing infectious synth hooks and peak stamina into an anthem capable of maximal floor damage right through to the summer festival season. ‘The Code’ sets the precedent to an all time high for Revealed’s output throughout 2013.
A little taste!
