Grant Kwiecinski, also known as Griz has been producing music since the young age of 14. But there is something about Griz that makes him unlike any other producer or DJ, his passion, his soulful but bass infused sound, and of course his saxophone. Griz incorporates his instrumental talent for the saxophone with the sounds of glitch hop, future funk, electro-soul, and dubstep, making remixes and original songs that keep you coming back for more. His first full length album, released in September of 2012 titled Mad Liberation was an instant success with thousands of downloads and views on SoundCloud and YouTube. After the release of Mad Liberation fans patiently waited for his next album and a year later they got what their ears have been craving, a fresh, new album from the one and only Griz.
Rebel Era, released on October 15, 2013, preserves Griz’s funky, expressive sound, and combines it with different genres of dubstep and electro. With collaborations from The Floozies and Dominic Lalli, fans can hear a soulful electro vibe on one track, and switch to a song such as Crime in the City and hear a completely new sound of electro-house that we have never heard from Griz. Every song on the album is truly unique and illustrates Griz’s authentic musical talent, as a producer and a saxophone player. From Mad Liberation to Rebel Era, and the opening of his new record label, Liberated Music, the electronic music community can definitely see that Griz is here to stay. Rebel Era is now available for FREE download on mynameisgriz.com, along with dates for the Rebel Era tour to see if Griz will be in a city near you this fall!
