Armin van Buuren, who is widely known as the “God of Trance” has been around for over a decade. Hailing from The Netherlands, his interests in music began at a very early age. Despite studying law he eventually started DJing at clubs and discovered his passion for music. Since then he has gone on to produce a slew of albums and has headlined nearly every major festival across the globe.
Due to his wide success, he has become a pioneer and household name in the dance music scene. A State of Trance, his podcast which initially started as a compilation album has become one of the top radio shows and features the best of old and new artists in all of the trance genre.
In terms of his festival presence, he can usually be seen playing the mainstage or at his own curated stage usually named after his radio show. A State of Trance has been featured at festivals such as Ultra, Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo and a plethora of others. He has truly made a name for himself and his fans are always die hards.
After ASOT in Madison Square Garden consecutive years, Armin will be participating in RPM’s Big Week which will have a number of top names in dance music. Pier 94 will become trance heaven on Monday, December 29th and will surely be a great ending to 2014. Supporting acts include Andrew Rayel, Jochen Miller and Mark Sixma. Needless to say everyone will be getting a healthy dose of uplifting and soothing trance that night.
