After meeting in high school, Christian Srigley and Leighton James tried their hand at punk music and eventually began producing electronic beats. These days they are known for their intense and bass heavy sets that sometimes take on a melodic tone. These princes of all things dubstep have paved a way for themselves in the bass head community, especially after the release of their first EP Calling All Heroes Pt. 1.”
In 2009, their remix of Brand New’s “Daisy” garnered some attention but, it was not until UKF featured the music video to their remix of Lips’ “Everything to Me” that really gained them significant exposure. Since November 2012, the video has had 2 million plus views and still remains quite popular. What makes Adventure Club stand out among other dubstep artists is their use of high-pitched female vocals and the Cakewalk SONAR program, which is not used heavily in the EDM industry.
With springtime just beginning to set in there is no doubt that the dynamic duo will all but turn up the heat during their spontaneously added show at Pacha next Friday, April 3rd. Bringing a great mixture of genres into their sets, they do an excellent job of keeping bass heads on their toes for the duration of their performances. Anything from dubstep and hardstyle to trap and drum and bass are usually mixed and transitioned cohesively which makes them a crowd favorite at the most well-attended festivals across the country. Though the first tier tickets have sold out, second tier is still available at a reasonably priced. Be sure to grab yours ASAP as this will surely sell out faster than you can say “Thunderclap!”
